Reforming Through Life’s Seasons

“Reform helped me navigate an incredibly emotional time; losing a parent, my son graduating high school, and moving. My lifestyle was keeping me in a chronic state of stress. I cannot imagine a time when Reform’s best practices won’t be relevant! Reform is a way of life for all of life’s seasons.”

I believe wholeheartedly that the Lord brought Reform to me. I stumbled upon an episode of the Restore the Glory podcast in which Jackie was the featured guest. As I listened to Jackie’s story, I felt so moved by the Spirit that I could not wait to look into Reform. I knew it was a journey I needed to take.

I began Reform Online a few months later, in August of 2022, and remember being so anxious to get to the nutrition and functional movement wellness pillars. Then I realized that was not where the Lord was calling me to begin. At that time, it was actually the pillars of sleep and stress management that I needed to work on the most. The phrase “The change you resist the most is often the change you need the most” really resonated with me.

After I completed the course, my mother’s health took a drastic turn for the worst. For the next 18 months, I watched as Parkinson’s Disease took the mom I knew one piece at a time. It was a time of doing my best to advocate for her and take care of unfinished business, including her 100-year-old home and her belongings.

In the spring of 2024, I brought Reform to my parish community to participate in Reform Online in Community, an opportunity for a group to take the course together in person. What an amazing gift to revisit all the pillars through Reform, and with a beautiful group of people! There were times while watching the videos that I heard the Lord’s voice so powerfully that I nearly turned around to see if He was there behind me.

When sharing with the group one evening, I heard myself say, “I am trying to manage something that is unmanageable.” It was a lightbulb moment. It became clear that my lifestyle was keeping me in a chronic state of stress. I was totally depleted.

I knew I was ready to Dig to the Roots, Reform’s gut-healing course, after that. It was a time of tremendous transition. My mom passed the day after my son’s high school graduation. Reform helped me navigate an incredibly emotional time. I was able to see the graces more clearly and manage stress in ways I didn’t know were possible, which gave me the peace I needed.

After our son matriculated to High Point University, my husband and I took bold steps of resigning from our jobs and moving to North Carolina. We needed some radical change in our lives! The protocol I followed from Dig to the Roots helped restore me to the point where I could manage the demands brought on by so much change. I felt my energy return and my digestive system regulated. Reform has helped me surrender to God’s will more, and discover the freedom this brings.

My husband and I feel that the changes we’ve made have saved our marriage and reformed our lives. I’m so grateful that Reform Wellness was such an instrumental part of my healing, and will continue to be a part of my life. I cannot imagine a time when Reform’s best practices won’t be relevant! Reform is a way of life for all of life’s seasons.
